WELCOME TO WEST COUNTRY BRANCH
Established in 1968.
Membership is at 89 members (Sep 24).
We are a friendly group based through the South West Peninsular keen to maintain our links with serving and former members of the Corps. Membership brings opportunities to meet old and new friends across the region whilst enjoying meetings and activities.
Geographically our patch encompasses the southwest counties of Gloucestershire, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, and east to include Wiltshire. We are lucky to live in such a beautiful and wonderfully diverse area of the UK, an area that has a strong military heritage across all three Services.
Our members are a mix of former QAs, regular and reservists with service dating from the early 1950s up to today. We have 89 members; a significant percentage work in healthcare; in the NHS, in healthcare education and in the PVI sector. Other members are active within their own communities contributing to services important for their local areas. Our branch of the Association aims to bring together QAs from across the generations, to meet up with old friends and make new ones within our common bond of the Corps.
