WELCOME TO MIDLANDS BRANCH

Established in 1950.
Membership (not including serving members) is at 119 members (Sep 24).

The Midland branch was one of the first branches to be formed and has been running since 1950. Post-COVID we are focusing on bring the branch closer together with various events. We missed celebrating our 70th anniversary and will now be celebrating this with the Association’s 75th Anniversary. Based in Birmingham, we cover a large area which includes both the East and West Midlands (Rutland, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, and Nottinghamshire). We also have members who live in the Lancashire area. We hold two formal meetings, a spring lunch and AGM, plus an annual Christmas lunch. Throughout the year we aim to organise several smaller events, where the members can come together. We have strong affiliations with the Regular and Reserve Units within the Midlands (Royal College of Defence Medicine based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, QA students nurses at Birmingham City University, 202 MMR, Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (Stanford Hall) near Loughborough and the Defence Medical Academy at Lichfield), fostering comradeship and connecting past, present and future QA's in FRIENDSHIP.
