Colonel in Chief Royal Army Medical Service (RAMS) 

Further details have been given approval for release on the new RAMS as follows:

HM The King has graciously honoured the RAMS with a Royal Col in Chief and two Royal deputies:

Colonel in Chief Royal Army Medical Service (RAMS)

​        His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO

Deputy Colonel in Chief Royal Army Medical Service (RAMS)

        HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh

Deputy Colonel in Chief Royal Army Medical Service (RAMS)

       HRH The Duchess of Gloucester

It is to be noted that the two deputies will not be responsible solely for nurses and dental personnel as in their former roles.

In addition, with 100% consensus from the forming Corps , the “Corps March” with bugle call will be :

“Here’s a health unto his Majesty”
